Property documentation checklists for Udaipur
Most documentation disasters are avoidable, and the checks that avoid them are not secret. Here are the three lists we actually run — for buyers, for sellers, and for NRI investors. Print them, take them to any dealer in Udaipur, and hold them to it.

Where these records live in Rajasthan
Land records here are held as the Jamabandi (the record of rights, also called the nakal), the Khasra and Khatauni, and the Girdawari for crop and possession entries. On a converted plot you will also be looking for the patta and the conversion order.
Every layout plan we publish carries its khasra numbers for exactly this reason: you can take the number off our plan and check it against the revenue record yourself. That is the check we would want a buyer to run, so we may as well make it easy.
